Certification Program Overview
The CWNP program includes four levels of WLAN qualifications from entry-level to expert, which provides the IT professionals with the ability to qualitatively prepare them for the tasks associated with defining, managing, and designing both the WLAN infrastructure and applications. CWS - Certified Wireless Specialist – an entry-level accreditation offered to specialists in Wi-Fi-related marketing, support, decision-making, and sales. During the training, candidates will master the language, processes, and terminology of Wi-Fi, as well as key software and equipment applicable to WLAN.
CWT - Certified Wireless Technician – an entry-level accreditation aimed at technicians whose responsibilities include installing and configuring Wi-Fi at a basic level, including setting up the access point, client connection device, and WLAN application.
CWNA - Certified Wireless Network Administrator – an administrator-level accreditation designed for network installers and site surveyors who need to understand RF behavior, enterprise Wi-Fi installation and security, as well as work in the field.
CWSP - Certified Wireless Security Professional – a professional-level accreditation aimed at network engineers, IT security experts, and PEN testers developing in the field of enterprise Wi-Fi security, as well as having an active CWNA certificate.
CWDP - Certified Wireless Design Professional – a professional-level accreditation for CWNA certified system analysts and network designers with a confident knowledge of 802.11 network applications and RF technology including designing wireless LANs for optimal performance in a variety of environments.
CWAP - Certified Wireless Analysis Professional – a professional-level accreditation offered by CWNP to certified network technicians, analysts, and engineers wishing to enhance their expertise in analyzing, optimizing, and troubleshooting any wireless LAN.
CWNE - Certified Wireless Network Expert – an expert level accreditation and final stage that focuses on true Wi-Fi professionals such as Sr. network engineers, strategic advisors, and consultants who have advanced skills in installing, configuring, administering, designing, and troubleshooting wireless network systems.
CWNT - Certified Wireless Network Trainer – a narrower specialization aimed at Wi-Fi professionals with sufficient skills and knowledge to conduct CWNP training courses through authorized training centers.
At the same time, the CWNP offers a well-rounded qualification program dedicated to the Internet of Things where you can certify competencies at the Administrator (CWISA), Professional (CWICP, CWIIP, and CWIDP), and Expert (CWISE) levels.
