• PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is an effective process-based project management method, approved by the UK government as the standard for social project management. What's more, PRINCE2 is fully scalable and more easily adaptable to each of your projects, helping you to become a successful project manager. There are already more than 1 million certified professionals worldwide, which shows that PRINCE2 is one of the most practiced project management methods.

  The fact is that the PRINCE2 methodology is based on different processes such as organization, control, and project management. At the same time, this approach includes 6 key aspects - scope, timescale, risk, quality, benefits, and cost. These indicators are taken into account in the decision-making process as they help to assess project deviations.

  The PRINCE2 method was developed in 1989 as a standard for project management in the IT sector. But already in 2013, the rights for this methodology were transferred to AXELOS Ltd.

  Certification Program

  Since the goal of most managers is to deliver projects on time and within budget, the PRINCE2 training and certification program is more relevant than ever.   Thus, PRINCE2, as a globally recognized professional accreditation, not only provides step-by-step instruction in time, quality, cost, and risk management, but also allows you to learn how to work with Lean, Agile, and DevOps.

  At this time, this certification program includes 4 designations:

  • PRINCE2 Foundation certification covers basic theoretical knowledge of project planning, implementation, and management processes at all stages of its life cycle. Therefore, this entry-level qualification will confirm that you have a sufficient understanding of the PRINCE2 method, have completed the appropriate training and exam, and are ultimately ready for the certification program going forward.
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner certification covers a broader knowledge of this methodology and aims to gain confident skills in its application and adaptation in a real working environment. Therefore, this qualification pathway is more suitable for those candidates who already have experience in managing real projects, after which you can easily take the PRINCE2 Practitioner classroom training and pass the qualification exam.
  • PRINCE2 Agile Foundation certification focuses on candidates who not only want to learn the basics of the PRINCE2 method, but also the ability to incorporate PRINCE2 Agile into their daily work using agile methods and concepts.
  • PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner certification is more advanced because it focuses more on practical skills and the ability to use them in real management tasks. In addition, at this stage of the qualification, the candidate should already have either PRINCE2 Agile Foundation or PRINCE2 Foundation accreditation.

  Training

  It should be noted that comprehensive education is provided by accredited training organizations in a variety of formats - face-to-face courses, online e-learning, virtual courses, or blended learning. Moreover, each PRINCE2 accredited training body has undergone an accreditation process to confirm the quality of program content and readiness to deliver training.
