MCITP Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Administrator core exams: The 4 exams you will have to crack

The MCITP certification is a proof that the certificate holder has the knowledge and skills to understand the basic of a certain field. The MCITP Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Administrator is a Microsoft certification that proves that the certificate holder has the required knowledge and skills about Windows Server 2008 such that he/she is fit for the Enterprise Administrator role. Before any examinee is able to get this certification, they must first have to go through a series of test. Only after cracking 4 exams, the examinee will be able to achieve the MCITP Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Administrator certification.
First hurdle: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring
The first hurdle of the certification exam is the test where the examinee is tested on their technical ability and knowledge in regards to Windows Server 2008 configuration. For this exam, the examinee must prepare for the configuration of Active Directory services and roles, active directory certificate services, Active Directory Infrastructure and DNS (Domain Name System) for Active Directory. Besides that they will also have to prepare for maintenance of Active Directory environment and Active Directory objects. This exam contains questions that revolve around configuring DNS server settings, zones, domain, active directory replication, sites, trusts, operations masters, read-only domain controller, active directory lightweight directory service, active directory federation services, CA server settings, active directory rights management service etc. They must know how to secure forest trusts and domains as well as configure DNS server and zone properties. To be able to crack this exam they should go through Planning and deployment for group policy, Active Directory how to, AD LDS and AD FS step by step guides, how to administer certificate templates and so on.
Second hurdle: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring
The second hurdle for the certification exam is the test where the examinee is asked questions related to the network infrastructures. To be able to crack this exam, the examinee must know A to Z about network infrastructure related to Windows Server 2008. They will have to mainly focus on the configuration of file and print services, addressing and services, network access and name resolution. Besides that they will also have to focus on the management and monitoring of the network infrastructure. In this exam questions related to configuration of routing, IPv4 addressing, IPv6 addressing, DHCP, firewall, remote access, DirectAccess, Network Access Protection, DNS server, DNS records, DNS zones, DNS replication, file server, backup and restore, Distributed File System and so on will be asked. Besides these questions related to the management of the network infrastructure will also be asked. So, the examinee must make sure that they cover these topics for this exam. To be able to crack this exam, they must understand the DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), TCP/IP networking, firewall, IPv4, IPv6, zone, DNS (Domain Name System) sever, DirectAccess, Network Access, file services and monitoring tools for Windows Server 2008.
Third hurdle: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure, Configuring
The third hurdle that has to be completed to get this certification is the test where the examinee will have to face questions related to configuration and infrastructure of applications. For this exam, the examinees will have to cover four topics: configuration of network application services, web services infrastructure and remote desktop services; and deployment of servers. In this exam, they will have to face questions related to configuration of remote desktop gateway, remote desktop resources, remote desktop services, remote desktop licensing, remote desktop connection broker, remote desktop session host, web applications, simple mail transfer protocol, file transfer protocol, SSL security, SharePoint foundation integration and so on. Some of the questions will also be related to deployment of servers. To be able to crack this exam , the examinees should view some resources like Windows Deployment Services guide, Remote Desktop licensing deployment step by step guide, Virtual desktops and virtualization remote desktop services guide, web server guide, SSL guide, deployment for SharePoint Foundation guide and so on.
Fourth hurdle: Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Administrator
The fourth hurdle that has to be completed to get this certification is the test where the examinee will have to face questions related to management sector. They will have to face the questions that are related to planning and managing of components related to network and applications. The four topics that they must prepare for this exam are planning application and network services and designing of support identity, designing core identity, data availability and business continuity. They will have to cover areas related to planning of remote desktop services, IP addressing, name resolution, application delivery and network access. Besides that they will have to make sure to understand and study about designing of public key infrastructure and office branch deployment. Besides these they will also have to focus on the designing of active directory physical topology, enterprise level group policy strategy, active directory administrative model and active directory forests and domains. They will also have to prepare for more management side as enterprise administrator. Some of the points that they will have to focus to pass this exam are designing operating system virtualization strategy, compliance management, software update, data access and data management. There might be questions related to planning of business continuity as well.
